A private, personal utility
More understanding.
Less listening time.
Podcast Engine turns podcast episodes into detailed, chronological notes, with key takeaways up front and the context that makes them useful.
This website describes the app. It does not host transcripts, summaries, private podcast feeds, or an account sign-in.
How it works
From an episode to a readable brief.
- Follow selected podcasts.
The engine checks configured feeds for new episodes, including subscriber feeds the operator is authorized to access.
- Transcribe and summarize.
Audio is transcribed on the operator's Mac. Transcript text is processed through OpenAI's Codex service to produce a structured summary. Downloaded audio is removed after transcription.
- Keep notes and send a copy.
Transcripts and summaries are saved locally. Completed HTML summaries are emailed to the recipients selected by the operator.
